What it is
Its name means “dew of the sea”, for the coastal cliffs it clings to. Greek students wore rosemary crowns while studying, believing it strengthened memory — Ophelia agreed: “rosemary, that’s for remembrance.”
In the kitchen
Its needles survive long cooking where soft herbs die — throw a sprig under roasting potatoes or lamb and remove it before serving.
