What it is
It evolved to be swallowed whole by giant ground sloths and other megafauna that have been extinct for ten thousand years. Without them it should have died out too — it survives because humans took over the job of moving the seed.
In the kitchen
The stone does nothing to stop guacamole browning. Only acid and keeping air off the surface actually work.
